About Bob
In 2008, Bob Crowley was selected to compete on the reality TV show Survivor: Gabon and 39 days later he was voted the oldest winner in the show’s history.
He also won the ‘Sprint Survivor of the Season’ which is voted by the fans for their favorite player. His knack for the outdoors and his wilderness survival skills allowed him to comfortably play the game of Survivor.
After Bob retired from teaching high school physics for 25 years, he started Maine Forest Yurts, which offers individuals, couples, families and groups an eco-friendly, camping experience where guests can connect with nature in the Maine outdoors.
In 2009, with the help of his carpool friend David Ladd, Bob published his autobiography, Making Waves: The Stories of Maine’s Bob Crowley. Please contact us if you would like to order a signed copy of Bob’s book! Cost is $15 plus s/h.
